  Hagia Sophia

Most important Byzantine monument in the world. Built in 537 by Byzantine Emperor Justinien. It is considered the masterpiece of Byzantine architecture. It was converted into a mosque in 1453 by Fatih Sultan Mehmet and into a museum by Ataturk in 1935.

 Blue Mosque

Built in 1609, facing Hagia Sophia. Famous with its blue Iznik tiles and 6 minarets.

Hippodrome

Center of sportive events and political activities of the old city. Constantine Column, Serpentine Column, Egyption Obelisk and German Fontain of Wilhelm II are decorating the Hippodrome.

Grand Covered Bazaar; the biggest covered bazaar in the world with more than 4000 shops selling jewellery, gold, carpets, kilims, leatherware and souvenir.
